Buy- to-let is stronger than ever!
High rental yields are not only continuing to deliver great returns but they have also instilled such confidence in the sector that buy-to-let investors are actually increasing their portfolios, with buy-to-let lending up 40% on last year.
According to specialist lender Paragon Mortgages, the size of a proffesional landlords portfolio rose from an average of nine properties three months ago to 10.8 properties today. Additionally, some 20% of landlords also say that they intend to increase their portfolio further in the coming months, according to research by BDRC Continental.
Terraced houses tend to be the most popular property choice for investment (64%), followed by flats and semi detached houses.
